LEGO Speed Champions history: 2015 to 2026

LEGO Speed Champions starts in 2015 and reaches 2026 in the provided history facts. The 2026 group includes 77263-1 BMW M3 (E30), launching August 1, 2026 with 358 pieces, while Brickset notes BMW had only one earlier Speed Champions appearance.

Quick answer

LEGO Speed Champions begins in 2015 and reaches 2026 in the available theme history. The 2026 group includes ten sets, led in this update by 77263-1 BMW M3 (E30), a 358-piece set launching August 1, 2026.

Why 2026 matters

The 2026 Speed Champions lineup brings together a broad mix of names, including Mini F1 ACADEMY Car, APXGP Team Race Car from F1 The Movie, Time Machine from Back to the Future, and BMW M3 (E30).

BMW is the standout historical angle. Brickset says BMW had appeared only once in Speed Champions before BMW M3 (E30). That makes 77263-1 BMW M3 (E30) more than another 2026 entry; it is also a notable point in BMW’s short Speed Champions history.

What to remember

For a compact Speed Champions timeline, keep three facts in mind: the theme starts in 2015, the available history reaches 2026, and BMW M3 (E30) is a key 2026 set because BMW’s prior presence in Speed Champions was limited.
